What are AZ Temp Tags

Our new temporary license plate materials are made from high quality polyester paper. They are compatible with most desktop and high speed laser printers but are NOT compatible with inkjet printers. Simply print the license plate from the ServiceArizona portal directly onto the sheet, punch out the holes and affix to the rear of the vehicle. No laminating or inserting into a plastic bag required. We recommend installing all 4 screws but installing the top screws will work as well.

How does it work?

This product has been extensively tested by ADOT for toner adhesion and durability. For the last two years, vehicles registered at ADOT MVD locations have had their temporary license plate printed directly on this polyester plate material. We have launched a format that works with the ServiceArizona dealership portal. Simply print the plate from the dealer portal directly onto the plate material, punch out the holes, tear off the integrated registration tab and affix it to the back of the sold vehicle.

Will the plate work on passenger vehicles and motorcycles?

Yes! Our plate material will accommodate a passenger sized vehicle plate and a smaller, motorcycle plate. The vertical plate will print the hole pattern for you to punch out using our provided single hole punch.

Why would I want to use this new plate material?

There are several reasons. First, it's much less labor intensive for your dealership staff. No longer do you have to print the plate, tear off the bottom portion, stuff it in a plastic bag and affix it to the back of the vehicle! It's also a better experience for your customer! This plate material will stand up to the elements (hot and cold) as well as car washes! Enforcement also loves it because it's easier to read and more durable. 

Will it work with my existing laser printer?

Yes! Our patent pending product will work on most desktop and high speed laser printers! It's been tested on many different models....from office copier/printers to stand alone HP, Lexmark, Epson laser printers. Our special coating creates the best toner adhesion in the industry!

Can I still use regular copy paper instead of this plate material?

There is no requirement for vehicle dealers to use this plate material. Our invention is a much more convenient way to put a temporary plate on the vehicle and provide the registration to the customer! In addition, ADOT’s secure gateway vendor will no longer provide plastic sheet protectors for free.

Can I use another polyester plate?

Maybe! AZTempPlates have been approved by ADOT for temporary plate use. In addition to having a patent pending design that is guaranteed to work with the dealer portal we also have a special coating for enhanced toner adhesion to stand up to the harsh Arizona temperatures. In addition, we are the only product on the market that uses a solid core polyester reducing static electricity in the printing process to reduce jamming and waste.
